Earth Lagoon redesigned as a premium geothermal destination—with intuitive visitor tools and cinematic storytelling.
Earth Lagoon (formerly Mývatn Nature Baths) is a geothermal lagoon experience in North Iceland. Their previous website was static and unbranded—just three pages with no cohesive identity. It didn't capture the immersive, elemental nature of the experience itself. Visitors couldn't feel the place through the digital experience, and the site lacked the visitor tools they actually needed (pricing clarity, directions, facility details).

The Result
We rebuilt Earth Lagoon from WordPress to Duda as a premium, immersive destination website. Every design decision—from the geological color palette to the rounded, spa-like shapes to the cinematic photography—translates the physical experience into digital form.





Key Features
- Distinctive visual identity: Restrained geological palette (sandy cream, deep brown, warm rose, accents of amber and teal), rounded corners throughout, soft pink page-edge borders—everything feels pulled from the volcanic landscape. Stylized eye echoing the lagoon's oval shape, repeated in nav, CTA button, and footer—creating brand consistency everywhere
- Visitor dashboard at hero: Four-column info bar with Pricing, Hours, Location, FAQ—most-asked questions answered immediately without scrolling
- Rich mega-menu navigation: Facilities dropdown showcases four offerings with photos. Information mega-menu acts as a mini-dashboard with construction notice, location/map, hours, essentials, news—pre-answering common questions
- Location intelligence: Custom illustrated Iceland map with distance stats (58km from Húsavík, 89km from Akureyri, etc.). Accordion location info with directions, nearby attractions, hiking activities
- Facility showcase: Rich cards for Lagoon, Bistro, Steam Baths, Massages with category icons. Lagoon science data (temperature, composition, benefits) presented with clean iconography
- Personalized support: AI chat widget with real staff photo, creating warmth and approachability
- Design philosophy: The website doesn't just sell a lagoon experience. It feels like one—calm, premium, connected to nature, never overselling.
